Frequently Asked Questions
- How long will it take before my painted piece of pottery is ready for collection?
We always try to get pottery back to you in around 2 weeks. During busy periods (e.g Christmas) it could take a little longer. We're a small family run business so do our best to get your pottery back to you as quickly as possible.
- How long do you keep uncollected pottery for?
We cannot keep uncollected pottery indefinitely and will aim to keep it for no longer than 12 months. After this point it will have to be disposed of which is always a great shame! It is therefore important that once you are contacted by us that you organise a time to collect it in good time after your order is ready.
- Are your paints non-toxic?
Yes they are perfectly safe.
- Do your paints wash off clothes?
Yes they are all machine washable.
- Do you offer takeaway pottery packages?
Yes we do! They contain everything you need to host your own pottery party - including pottery, brushes, palettes, sponges, paints and disposable table cloth. All we ask is that you return the equipment clean and in the condition that it was provided to you in. Charges will apply where any equipment is lost or damaged.
- Can I put my painted bowl or plate in the microwave or dishwasher?
Yes you can!
- I would like Goodland's Tea Party to facilitate my pottery party - can you do that?
Yes we can. We charge an additonal £2 per head to do this and we ask for a minimum of 5 people painting per booking. Key things we need to know from you would be:
1. Location of the party (if a hired venue please outline if the vendor stipulate any venue specific requirements).
2. That there is access to water and the means to dispose of dirty water (paints non-toxic).
3. That enough tables can be provided.
4. That enough chairs can be provided.
5. If there is a theme to the party or specific pottery that you are looking for.
- Fuel charges - what does that involve?
We charge a fuel cost of between £7 & £10 per car journey made for any drop off or collection of your pottery.
- How long do your pottery parties last?
Depending on the age of those painting, we would typically allow for between 45minutes to 1hour to paint any pottery and we would require additional time before and after to allow for setup and tidying away.
